Note on Exhaust Systems :

Depending on the model of your bike the exhaust  may interfere with FL (Harley touring style) bags. if this is the case you have 3 options:


1) The brackets allow for other smaller bags to be mounted. Roadking style, Viking etc
2) Run Tab turn outs to shorten the exhaust
3) Run a shorter aftermarket exhaust 

Note on Notching the bags: 

I built these brackets so they kick the bag out enough to clear both  the shock and the blinkers with some clearance. The only "NEED" is to get a lower / shorter style exhaust. 

Some people want the FL bags pulled in super tight to the bike, this especially is the case if  larger diameter shocks (arnott shocks with thier 1" standoff). One solution for this is to "notch the bags".  Please refer to that page for more information on this process.
